Further afield nestling amongst the vineyards and cork trees you will find the charming town of Azeitao. For wine lovers, a visit to the 16th Quinta da Bacalhoa is a must.
Take a tour of the Palace to see the fine example of the traditional Portuguese azulejo tiles and enjoy a tour of the cellars (and of course a wine tasting). Don't forget to try the infamous creamy sheep's cheese "Queijo de Azeitao.
For nature lovers, you can explore the wonderous Arrabida Natural Park with its abundance of wildlife and great tracks for trekking, or mountain biking.
